Final Meeting of 2024 - Critical Discussion on Monroe County's Involvement in the United Nations - Backed Local 2030 Network
This is one meeting you won’t want to miss! Join us on Monday, November 18th at the Key Largo Civic Club for an important discussion about the Monroe County Board of County Commissioner's recent decision to join the UN-backed Local 2030 Islands Network.
With little input from residents, the Board of County Commissioners moved forward with this motion, raising concerns about transparency and the potential for outside influence over our community’s future. Many Monroe County citizens feel unheard and are troubled by the lack of community engagement in a decision that could greatly impact our local governance.
Now is the time to stay informed and make your voice count. Mark your calendar, bring your questions, and join a gathering of concerned citizens as we address what this motion could mean for Monroe County.
Let’s work together to ensure our community’s future reflects our own values and priorities!
